Climb25 Regional Launch Event in South Yorkshire

We're less than two weeks away from the South Yorkshire ClimbUK Launch event at the DMC01 in Barnsley, where we are looking forward to giving you a flavour of what's to come in July at their festival of innovation, industry and investment. TECH SY attended Climb24 last year to showcase South Yorkshire's startups on a national level.

We're delighted to have Sarah Norman, Chief Executive at Barnsley Council giving the regional welcome. Sarah is the Lead Chief Exec in South Yorkshire for Culture, Creative & Digital so we look forward to hearing her thoughts.

Our two panels are almost complete, with Kalam Neale from British Esports hosting a gaming/esports panel which will explore the video games industry in South Yorkshire. He'll be speaking to panellists Peter Thompson from Endpoint Group and John Sanderson from PitStop Productions, who will share their expertise from the cutting-edge of gaming.

There will also be an investment panel hosted by Pete Hopton, an entrepreneur who runs Venture.Community. He'll be talking about raising investment for startups in the 0-1 phase with tech advisor Rachel Swann and tech specialist lawyer Tom Goff, who will tackle the challenges and opportunities startups face when seeking funding.

There will also be some exclusive video messages and regional insights as we ramp up to the South Yorkshire Tech Summit the week after! We'll be serving pizza and drinks, with a chance for networking before and after the main talks.
